ACWF Issues Guidance on Promoting 'Rural Revitalization'

The All-China Women's Federation () recently issued a document titled Guidance on Promoting Women's Contributions to Achieving .

The Guidance aims to help more people study Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; carry out the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (); and fully implement the opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Rural Revitalization Strategies.

The paper gives suggestions on how to make full use of the unique role of women's federations at all levels in developing rural industries, protecting the environment and caring for disadvantaged groups in rural areas.

The Guidance points out that women are important in promoting agricultural and rural modernization, as women are the bearers and beneficiaries of rural revitalization, as well as the promoters and builders of historical tasks.

The Guidance clarifies the main tasks of concern to women in the future. It spells out how to mobilize rural women and improve their ability to participate in rural revitalization; how to lead rural women to build new ecological and livable rural areas; and how to speed up rural women's poverty alleviation.

The Guidance requires women's federations at all levels to serve as a bridge and bond in thoughts and actions to meet the decision and deployment of the CPC and local Party committees.

Women's federations should carry out more investigations, stick to problem-oriented methods, consolidate research at the grassroots level, and publicize the stories of rural female role models.

In addition, women's federations should deepen reform of the institutional framework, continue to make progress in the reconstruction of women's organizations in villages, and further strengthen the performance of women's federations at the grassroots level.

In short, women's federations should release their huge organizational vitality inspired by the reform and consolidate women's power to realize rural revitalization.
