To celebrate the upcoming (March 8), the have named 10 role models as National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetters for making extraordinary achievements in their respective work.

The awards are aimed at motivating individuals to actively participate in the country's social and economic development, as well as make contributions in the new era. Here is a full list of the winners.

Yu Liufen, a village Party secretary in southwest China's Guizhou Province, has managed to lead people in her community to shake off poverty and improve local people's livelihoods.

Wang Xuemei, a professor of Missilery Academy at the Rocket Force University of Engineering in China, has participated in a number of national military missions and been dedicated to cultivating modern military personnel.

Wang Yi, director of the Chinese traditional dietary therapy and modern nutrition department at Guang'anmen Hospital in Beijing, has been bold in innovating dietary therapy theories and committed to popularizing knowledge of nutrition and health.

Uwin Sue Ira, Party branch secretary of a village in Alashan League of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has led local herders to prosperity in the past few decades.

Du Liqun, head nurse at the Infectious Disease Department of the No.4 People's Hospital of Nanning City in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is one of the five Chinese nurses awarded the Florence Nightingale Medal in 2015 by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Qin Chuan, an expert in comparative medicine, has played an important role in China's efforts to combat and contain epidemic diseases.

Yu Lina, head of the Violin and Viola Teaching Section at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, has served as a teacher for nearly half a century. As a renowned violinist, she has made remarkable contributions in promoting the development of China's music education and traditional Chinese culture.

Yang Miaomiao, a bus driver on Bus No. 107 in Bengbu City in east China's Anhui Province, has safely driven about 800,000 kilometers without a single complaint from passengers over the past 23 years.

Huang Zhili, a grassroots judge in southeast China's Fujian Province, has been dubbed a "companionable judge" for showing affection to villagers whilst maintaining impartiality when handling cases.

Yu Jing, a senior technician of China Railways Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., trained hard at welding skills and has set an industry example for all.

The ACWF collected a great deal of applications and nominations from across the country and selected the winners based on public recommendations.
