Chinese delivered a speech recently during the first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), which has inspired warm responses from women of different sections of society.

Dong Hong, a secretary of a sub-district office in Yan'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, said she was proud to witness the great changes that have taken place in her hometown.

"I have been a grassroots worker for over 20 years. Nowadays ordinary people can enjoy better employment, housing and medical treatment," said Dong.

Li Xiangyan, headmaster of Zicai Elementary School in Qinzhou, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said: "We were delighted to hear about 'developing fair and qualified education' in the government work report."

Zhao Xiaohong, president of Heilongjiang Association of Women Entrepreneurs, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, said her organization will lead and unite women entrepreneurs to make further progress under the guidance of  on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Pu Tingting, who is in charge of a service area at Taiyuan South Station, north China's Shanxi Province, said President Xi's speech gives them work guidance, and she and her colleagues will work even harder to improve passenger satisfaction.

Liang Jinhua, a deputy to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said: "We will put the poverty alleviation scheme first and implement the strategy of rural revitalization."

Li Linying, a director of the School of Marxism at Beijing Institute of Technology, said: "Those who teach ideological and political lessons should study the core socialist values. We will fulfill our duties by advancing and enriching traditional Chinese culture."

Liu Jin, who works at a village people's court in Jiaozuo, central China's Henan Province, said legal workers should respect the Constitution and perform their duties within the power of the law.

Li Ping, a Party branch secretary at China-Japanese Friendship Hospital, said: "As a female science worker, I will lead the grassroots women to dedicate ourselves to scientific innovation and development of the Chinese medicine industry."

Fu Lifen, a part-time vice president of Xiangyang Women's Federation, central China's Hubei Province, is of the Hui ethnic group.

"Government officials care a lot about our lives. They educate and cultivate women officials of minority groups," said Fu.
