NPC Session Serves the Happiness of the People

 

(NPC) deputy Shen Jilan, 89, who has been attending the meetings for 13 consecutive terms since 1954, delivered a speech titled "NPC Deputies Represent the People" on March 12 during the first session of the 13th NPC.

Shen told listeners how NPC deputies fulfill their duties and used her own experiences as vivid examples.

Shen prepared heavily for the speech, as she has done every time she has attended the meeting before.

"The NPC session serves the happiness of the people. I firmly support it," said Shen.
