Female deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC) talked about their proposals and about how they give full play to their role as "Half of the Sky".

 

 

Targeted Measures to Help Old Revolutionary Base Areas to Shake Off Poverty

Ma Yinping, a deputy to (NPC), is known to be a most beautiful secretary of CPC village committee.

"It is not because I am good-looking, but because I do practical things for local people," said Ma with a smile. As a new NPC deputy, she felt honored but nervous.

Ma proposed to strengthen targeted measures to help people in old revolutionary areas to shake off poverty according to different local conditions.

As for the next step, she would like to help build up her village, explore tourist resources and expand the channels for poverty-alleviation and moving towards prosperity.
